How much does water weight?

1 Liters = 2.2045855 Pounds. Now that's not bad until you figure out how much a person can carry. I have a 25 lb. weight limit. If you figure that I want to carry 2 liters of water - that's 4.4 lbs.

I guess I should think about getting a lightweight pack since the pack's weight will have to be added. Hmm, I will have to count it's weight in with the weight of misc. food etc. items. That means that John will have his own pack. He can carry at least 25 lbs. himself easy. Now to find a lightweight backpack.

Land's End has backpacks. Now to determine which one I want to get.
